Move In Instructions

• Once you arrive, look for the check-in stations to get started on the right foot. You’ll be guided by signs and helpful staff every step of the way.

• Get your Student Data Form ready: You'll need a printed copy of your Student Data Form (emailed to you at the end of July).
• Arrive on time: Please aim to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your scheduled move-in time. Early birds? You'll be redirected to the exit lane to wait until your designated time. Late arrivals? We’ll do our best to accommodate, but there’s no guarantee it will be at your scheduled time.
• Don’t Park in the fire lane! Vehicles parked in fire lanes will be asked to move — and may even be ticketed or towed at the owner's expense.

• Pull up to the Welcome Tent: Exchange your printed Student Data Form for a Welcome Packet and your Room Key.
• Parking: After you’ve checked in, park in a designated parking space.
• Each student is allowed up to two cars. If you’re towing a U-Haul or trailer, that counts as two vehicles.
• If you’ve got a third car, please park it in a perimeter lot on campus before coming to the staging area. You won’t be able to bring it into the move-in area.

• Unloading time is limited: You have 20 minutes to unload your things. Our helpful volunteers will assist by carrying your belongings to your room while you park your car.
• Be mindful: Once you’ve unloaded, please move your car to its designated parking area.
• Helpful tip: Bring a dolly or cart to make the process quicker and easier!

Here’s where you’ll park once you’ve finished unloading:

• Totty and Shade: Building 100 Parking Lot
• Jones Hall: Building 400 Parking Lot
• Bradford & Bethune Hall: Lot H (Overflow Lot)
• Grandison, Reed, and White: West Stadium Lot

• Time to make your room your own: Begin unpacking and get to work by turning your new space into a home.
• Clear the parking area: Parking spots must be cleared by the end of your assigned move-in time to allow the next group of students to move in.
• Dispose of trash properly: Please make sure to bring all trash and flattened cardboard boxes to the designated trash and recycling dumpsters outside your building.
• Time is UP! Parents and Guest will be asked to leave at the completion of your Move-in Time to allow the next group to move-in. Once Move-in is complete parent will be allowed to return for a limited time. The building will be closed to all parents and guest at 8pm.

• Snap a picture of your decorated room and share it with us on social media. Tag us on Instagram at subr_reslife to show off your space!
