Recently retired Southern University Director of Bands Lawrence Jackson will be on the big stage Saturday when he becomes the 2015 Honda Battle of the Bands Invitational Showcase “Honoree.”

Southern University’s “Human Jukebox” Marching Band will join a select group of the nation’s most prestigious marching bands representing America’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) to participate in the 13th annual “Honda Battle of the Bands” Invitational Showcase.

I am overjoyed to accept the position as Director of Bands at Southern University and A&M College.
