Narrative:

Academic calendars, grading policies, and refund policies at Southern University and A&M College at Baton Rouge (SUBR) are available to students and the public through web-based and physical copies. Calendar, grading, and refund policies are contained in two primary resources: the Undergraduate Catalog and Graduate School Catalog. These resources represent the official means of dissemination for residential, off-site, and distance education students. School-specific information, where applicable, can also be found on individual college websites.

Academic Calendar

The Calendar Committee, reports to the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, prepares and recommends to the President-Chancellor, the University's comprehensive academic calendar. The Registrar maintains the academic calendar. The calendar is published in both the Undergraduate Catalog and Graduate School Catalog. An electronic copy is available on the university's website.

Grading Policies

SUBR established grading policies in the Undergraduate Catalog, Graduate School Catalog, College minutes, published grading policies, the course syllabi, and the Faculty Handbook. Details of policies or exams, grades, and evaluations are maintained in the department/course syllabi.

Refund Policies

SUBR published its refund policies in the Undergraduate Catalog and Graduate School Catalog. Refund policies for tuition and fees are based upon the week of withdrawal. The Office of Student Financial Aid provides the process for the recovery of financial aid, upon withdrawal from the University.
