Student Organizations
Students are also encouraged to participate in student organizations of which two are available in the Department. These organizations provide outlets for students to improve their leadership skills, practice teamwork, network with each other and professionals, develop social skills and provide educational activities for students in the College. The Clubs provide and host seminars, participate in planned competition, attend conferences and render service to the community.
National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)
Students who are members of the National Association of Black Accountants attend the Annual Southwestern Student Conference. At the conference students attend seminars, network with students from other universities, network with professionals and interview with major corporations for both internships and permanent jobs.

Investment Club
The objective of the student managed Investment Fund is to provide Southern University business students with a structured learning system while providing hands-on experience in investment vehicles. It will also provide the College of Business with a long term method of attracting high quality students. Ultimately, it will make students more knowledgeable of investment opportunities.
