Undergraduate Program
The Computer Engineering (CompE) undergraduate curriculum is designed to prepare student who can compete favorably in their respective professions. The CompE curriculum has a freshman year common with other engineering departments in the College of Engineering. Additionally, because electrical engineering is the foundation for computer engineering, the first two years of the computer engineering curriculum is identical to the electrical engineering curriculum.
The computer engineering courses taken in the sophomore, junior, and senior years are analytical and design oriented. The design oriented courses are assessed based on open-ended problems, team work, hands-on, multidisciplinary, and communication skills. The following links provide more detailed information and resources regarding our program: computer engineering curriculum sheet (Degree Requirements Record Form), graduation application, and curriculum/pre-requisite flow chart. Additional information about the computer engineering program can be found in the undergraduate catalog (catalog).
