Faculty Senate Mission Statement
The Faculty Senate serves as the official voice of the faculty and is recognized by the Administration and the Board of Supervisors of Southern University. The Senate is committed to representing faculty interests and serving as an advisory body to the University Administration on matters related to faculty welfare, shared governance, professional development, academic freedom, and job security.
