Southern University commemorated the 40th anniversary of the fatal shootings of SU students Denver Smith and Leonard Brown on the Baton Rouge campus. The event was held Friday, Nov. 16, at 2 p.m., in the John B. Cade Library.
SU music students elected to top posts with La. music association

Southern University student Sonya Brown has been elected president of the Louisiana Music Teachers Association, and two other SU students were also elected to offices.

Dr. Ronaldo Cadeu, from Universidad Estadual de Minas Gerais, Brazil, will perform for Southern University’s music department at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, in the DeBose Recital Hall.
