CREDIT BY PLACEMENT EXAMINATION

  • Credit by placement examination is offered in Fall and Spring semesters for 100 and 101 level courses in French and Spanish (for all other languages, please check with the department of World Languages if credit by placement examination is available).

  • Students with two or more years of high school credit and native speakers should consult the World Language program leader prior to registration for Fall/Spring semesters for classes they would like to take the placement exam for. Students can take only one placement exam per semester. Other conditions apply, please consult with the program leader of World Languages

  • Native speakers are not allowed to take placement exams for 100/101 level courses and therefore cannot receive credit for these course levels in the foreign language.
