Louisiana Center for Prevention Resources

 

The Louisiana Center for Prevention Resources (LCPR) was established at the Nelson Mandela College of Government and Social Sciences, Department of Psychology at Southern University. The Center offers training and technical assistance services to healthcare and substance abuse prevention professionals. These services will be available to youth, communities and healthcare professionals, especially those who provide substance abuse prevention services.

Mission 

The mission of the Louisiana Center for Prevention Resources is to serve as a statewide clearinghouse for training, education, advocacy and technical assistance to prevent or reduce problems resulting from alcohol, tobacco and other drug use by working collaboratively at the state, regional and community levels.

Vision 

The Louisiana Center for Prevention Resources serves as a statewide resource to improve behavioral health services through innovative substance abuse prevention education, resources, training and advocacy.
