Goal

To provide professional training to rehabilitation counselors from State-Federal vocational rehabilitation agencies to ensure the availability of qualified personnel to serve individuals with disabilities.

Objectives

1. To provide graduate - level rehabilitation training to practicing professionals from varied ethnic backgrounds, who are currently employed by State-Federal Rehabilitation Agencies.
2. To award scholarships to rehabilitation professionals for graduate study to earn a master ' s degree or achieve CRC eligibility.
3. To offer rehabilitation counselor training via the Internet by using a multi­media approach and the philosophy of universal design for the development and delivery of courses.
4. To offer a structured curriculum that permits students to complete the program in seven semesters, including summer sessions.
