Rehabilitation Capacity Building Project for Underserved Populations (RCBPUP)

Mission

To enhance the capacity and increase the participation of minority entities in competitions for grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements under Title I through VIII of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended.

Sction 21 of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended, defines minority entities as:
- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Sefving Institutions (HSIs), American Indian Serving Institutions (AISIs) of higher education, and other institutions of higher education whose minority enrollment is at least 50 percent;
- Non-profit and for-profit agencies with ar least 51 percent minority control or ownership; and
- Under-represented populations including African Americans, Hispanic American, American Indians, Asian/Pacific Islanders, and ethic groups.

Outcome

Increase the Number of Proposals Submitted by Minority Entities. Increase the Number of Grant Awards to Minority Entities.
