Inspiring Future Engineers Through Hands-On Outreach

On March 26, 2025, the CERL research team visited Woodlawn Middle School to introduce students to the exciting world of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). As part of this outreach initiative, the team led engaging presentations and interactive demonstrations designed to spark curiosity and foster interest in STEM fields.

During the visit, Woodlawn Middle School students participated in a hands-on workshop where they explored the real-world impact of ECE across various industries. Guided by the project’s Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs), the students attended introductory lectures and gained practical experience by implementing simple engineering projects—laying a strong foundation for future exploration in electronics, robotics, and computing.

The photos below highlight this meaningful visit, reflecting our ongoing commitment to inspire young minds and promote early exposure to engineering education.
