Regardless of the aid you're seeking or your student classification, it is essential to complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by October 1st. Southern University utilizes the details from your FAFSA not only to assess eligibility for student loans and financial assistance but also to determine if you meet the criteria for scholarships, grants, and work-study opportunities.
To apply for financial aid:
- Create FSA ID
- Complete and submit your FAFSA
- Check your email (The Department of Education will send you an email communication to the email address you provided on your FAFSA.)
Please note all communications from the Office of Student Financial Aid at SUBR will be sent to your SUS email address, and you must have a FAFSA in the SUBR Banner System to receive communications from the Office of Student Financial Aid. - View and accept or decline your award (Accept/Decline Aid)
