Southern to host national scientific conference (News)
Southern University and A&M College is hosting the 74th Joint Annual Meeting of Beta Kappa Chi (BKX) Scientific Honor Society and the National Institute of Science (NIS), March 15-18, at the Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel located at 7000 Bluebonnet Boulevard. The theme of the 2017 conference is “Utilizing Innovative STEM Research to Address Today’s Current Global Challenges.”

Southern University selected as pilot institution for CIA recruitment, workforce program (News)
The Southern University System and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on Monday entered into an unprecedented partnership to benefit students and faculty. The agreement will serve as the foundational framework for the university system’s participation in the CIA’s recruitment and workforce development initiative, which is part of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
