Emerging Jags Summer Bridge

Jaguar Success Academy

 

June 29 – August 1, 2025 | Southern University and A&M College

The Jaguar Success Academy is a summer program designed to help incoming first-year students advance academically and grow socially. Participants will gain early exposure to college life, receive academic support, and develop essential soft skills.

Program Highlights:

  • Attend Summer New Student Orientation
  • Live on campus or commute
  • Enroll in 5-7 credit hours
  • Participate in weekly workshops focused on soft skills
  • Receive wrap-around services, tools, and incentives for success
  • Discounted summer rate of $1,880 (covered by financial aid or personal payment)

Qualifications:

  • Admitted to Southern University and A&M College – Baton Rouge for Fall 2025
  • Complete Fall 2025 housing application (if living on campus)
  • Submit transcript(s) for dual enrollment or AP classes (if applicable)
  • Complete Jaguar Success Academy application using Southern University email
  • Complete and submit 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 FASFA by April 15, 2025
  • Committed to attending Fall 2025 and beyond
  • Motivated and eager to learn
Priority enrollment is given to students requiring co-requisite courses, which provide 5 credit hours of integrated learning support to ensure a strong academic foundation.
