The College Success Skills two credit-course (FRMN 120B) serves as the foundation of the Southern University student experience and is designed to help freshmen transition successfully into college life while developing the essential skills to thrive academically, personally, and professionally. Through engaging lessons, reflective activities, and interactive workshops, students learn how to navigate university systems, communicate effectively, manage their time, set goals, and build confidence as members of the Jaguar Nation. The course emphasizes active learning, personal growth, and connection—encouraging students to build meaningful relationships with faculty, staff, and peers while exploring the resources that Southern University offers to support their success.
