Outreach Visit to the Southern University Laboratory School – April 22, 2026

On April 22, 2026, the Computer Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) team from Southern University's Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department visited the Southern University Laboratory School (SU Lab School) to provide students with an engaging, hands-on introduction to engineering and technology.

The visit focused on exposing students to the exciting opportunities available across engineering disciplines through interactive projects, demonstrations, and discussions led by ECE faculty and student mentors. On April 1, 2026, the Computer Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL) team conducted its first outreach visit to the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This visit was part of CERL's ongoing mission to inspire future engineers by providing students with engaging, hands-on experiences that showcase the exciting opportunities available in engineering and technology.
