  • Can I join a chapter at Southern University if I am enrolled at another school?
    • Students seeking to join a chapter MUST have full-time enrollment status at Southern University.

  • My mother and/or father are members of an organization. Does that mean I will have priority in becoming a member?
    • Membership selection is at the discretion of the chapter you desire to join and its members.

  • What does it mean for me if an organization is currently suspended?
    • Suspended organizations are not allowed to host intake activities and will only be permitted to do so after becoming active and gaining the necessary approvals.

  • Can I join more than one Greek organization?
    • NPHC organizations do not allow dual membership amongst themselves. However, you can be a member of an Independent Greek Organization and an NPHC organization.

  • If I graduate and still desire to join a Fraternity/Sorority, can I still join at SUBR?
    • Membership in undergraduate chapters is reserved only for undergraduate students. However, graduate chapters for each organization are available in most cities. Contact the organization directly for a listing of their local graduate chapters.
