Courseware Studio

The Courseware Studio – Rm 343 Pinchback is the VR “development environment”, away from the CAVE. It has a high-end windows 10 PC: Lenovo ThinkStation P340, with Intel Core i9 10900 processor (2.8/5.2 GHz),  32 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, and an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 (8GB) graphics card. This PC drives a regular monitor (27”, 1080p: HP EliteDisplay E273m) and three VR devices (of the HTC Vive system) whose position and orientation are tracked: a head-mounted device together with two hand-held controllers that can provide input to any running application. With Mechdyne’s simulated tracker and plugin, the VR application development can also be done in regular non-stereo mode, here and on any other regular desktop or laptop.
