Erica Hughes is a 2005 College of Business Graduate. While pursuing her undergrad she interned with International Paper (Shorewood Packaging Plant, East Flat Rock, NC) in 2004. And as her Community Service project, she joined Operations Crossroads to Africa and spent eight weeks in Penyem Village, Gambia, summer 2003. After graduating, Erica worked in Hospice Outreach, educating the community on the benefits of Hospice.
Eventually Erica moved on and accepted a position with the Louisiana Office of Student Financial Aid (LOSFA) in 2008, managing state grants and federal Scholarships such as the GO grant, the Rockefeller State Wildlife Scholarship, and various other grants and scholarships. While there she decided to further her education and received her Master’s in Public Administration from Southern University in spring 2015.
By the end of 2015, Erica accepted a position with the Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) in Institutional Research (IR). While there she championed many projects such as implementing and revising several policies and procedures as it pertained to curriculum development, program review, assessment, and institutional research and effectiveness.
