How does SpareChange work?
After you sign up and link your bank information, SpareChange will automatically round up the spare change on your everyday purchases to the nearest dollar. Your roundups are periodically charged to your account and transferred to your preferred fundraising organization’s account.
Is SpareChange secure?
SpareChange is very secure in our Iron-Clad Security System. Your sensitive information is never visible to us, as it never touches nor stored in our system. The codes are painstakingly written by us to facilitate your transactions. Bank authentication, roundup monitoring, and donation processing are handled by our trusted payment partners. In addition, all sensitive information is tokenized and transmitted over encrypted tunnels.
We use the same system trusted by Betterment, Robinhood, Acorns, LendingClub, Stripe, Coinbase, Venmo, Gusto, to name just a few, to let you know we've got your back.
