Is Southern University Online accredited?
Southern Univeristy Online is the part of Southern University and A&M College that offers its online degrees. Southern University and A&M College is accredited by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award baccalaureate, masaters, and doctoral degrees. Is Southern University authorized to operate in all 50 states?
Southern University and A&M College is approved by the State of Louisiana to participate in the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA, SARA-Louisiana). NC-SARA is a voluntary agreement that establishes comparable national standards for offering postsecondary distance education courses and programs.
Forty-nine (49) states (all except California) and the District of Columbia currently participate in NC-SARA. Though California is not a member of SARA, Southern University and A&M College is a fully accredited public, not for profit institution and may offer course work leading to a degree in the state of California.
Students are encouraged to check with the appropriate State agency before enrolling in any degree program.

Southern University Online offers both graduate and undergraduate degrees.

Are the classes in mini sessions or full semester sessions?
Most of the courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs are taught in 8-week mini sessions. However, the MBA Online courses are taught in the traditional 16-week full semester format.
How much does it cost to attend Southern University Online?
Tuition and fees are very affordable at Southern University Online. We do not charge separate fees for any of our degree programs. The $5.00 per credit hour Educational Technology Fee is included in the per semester credit hour tution rate. The per semester credit hour rate varies by program as indicated below:

Is there an application fee for Southern University Online?
Beginning August 1, 2019, there is a $25.00 Application Fee for every student, including readmits, transfer students, and first time freshman. Application fees are not waived.
