Southern University students nominated and voted Drs. Jarrett Landor-Ngemi and Chanika Jones as their favorite teachers. Landor-Ngemi is an assistant professor in the College of Education and Jones is an Associate Professor in Criminal Justice. Landor-Ngemi has been in the College of Education since 2009, while Jones came to the Criminal Justice in 2008.
Abdollahi named committee chair of forestry association

Southern University’s Dr. Kamran Abdollahi has been selected as the National Committee Chair to the National Association of University Forest Resources Programs for 2013. Abdollahi is a professor and chair of SU’s Urban Forestry Program.
Mbarika receives Lifetime Achievement Award
