School of Education Scholarship Program
Empowering Future Educators Every Semester
The School of Education Scholarship Program recognizes aspiring educators who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to educational equity. Offered each semester, these scholarships support students who are preparing to make a meaningful impact in classrooms and communities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Be a currently enrolled student in the School of Education
- Meet the minimum GPA requirement (varies by scholarship)
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and community service
- Submit a complete application by the deadline
Application Process
Step 1: Complete the Online Application
Students must complete the Microsoft Forms Scholarship Application which includes:
- Basic student and academic information
- Uploads (transcript, resume, letters of recommendation)
- Essay responses on career goals, leadership, equity, and need
Step 2: Application Review & Interviews
A selection committee will review applications and invite qualified candidates for a structured interview.
Interview Process
Selected candidates will participate in a 20–30 minute interview with a panel of faculty, staff, and community partners. Interviews assess:
- Academic and career aspirations
- Leadership and educational involvement
- Commitment to equity and student success
- Communication and professionalism
Selection & Notification
Recipients are selected based on application materials and interview performance. All applicants will be notified by email and may receive feedback.
Recipient Expectations
- Attend a mandatory orientation session
- Maintain good academic standing
- Serve as student ambassadors or peer mentors
- Participate in service and development opportunities
