School of Education Scholarship Program

 

Empowering Future Educators Every Semester

The School of Education Scholarship Program recognizes aspiring educators who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to educational equity. Offered each semester, these scholarships support students who are preparing to make a meaningful impact in classrooms and communities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a currently enrolled student in the School of Education
  • Meet the minimum GPA requirement (varies by scholarship)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to teaching and community service
  • Submit a complete application by the deadline

Application Process

Step 1: Complete the Online Application

Students must complete the Microsoft Forms Scholarship Application which includes:

  • Basic student and academic information
  • Uploads (transcript, resume, letters of recommendation)
  • Essay responses on career goals, leadership, equity, and need

Step 2: Application Review & Interviews

A selection committee will review applications and invite qualified candidates for a structured interview.

Interview Process

Selected candidates will participate in a 20–30 minute interview with a panel of faculty, staff, and community partners. Interviews assess:

  • Academic and career aspirations
  • Leadership and educational involvement
  • Commitment to equity and student success
  • Communication and professionalism

Selection & Notification

Recipients are selected based on application materials and interview performance. All applicants will be notified by email and may receive feedback.

Recipient Expectations

  • Attend a mandatory orientation session
  • Maintain good academic standing
  • Serve as student ambassadors or peer mentors
  • Participate in service and development opportunities
